Paul photographs people and companies who want to tell their story and not only share it but remember it. To hold a moment in time that can be returned to as a reminder of who they are and what they aspire to be. Company and personal values aligning with his own are really important to him.
Paul also doesn’t like to come into a job cold, wherever possible he likes to spend time becoming part of the environment/community and people he’s photographing. Connection and relationship are critical, whether it’s a corporate client re-telling their story, a wedding celebration or an individual needing a new approaches with images for a new chapter in their working life. He is aware that this isn’t always possible but his experience is that this time spent with those who are the story without a camera allows the possibility of stronger and more authentic images.
